Residential Brush & Leaf Pick Up

BRUSH PICKUP is not taking place while leaf pick up is going on in Minnetonka Beach.

Public Works also picks up resident-generated leaf piles you can place at the edge of your property near the road during spring months, for about two weeks, and then again in the fall for about six weeks. The 2025 fall season City leaf pickup program will end on Monday, November 24, 2025. Piles must be leaves only and should not be placed in streets. If you hire a service to do your leaves they must haul them away. The way contractors crush and compact leaves with their equipment is not compatible with the City's leaf vacuum system. The number of contractors hired has increased tremendously for a one-person public works department to handle. Contractors should not dump leaves in the City either - please report this kind of activity to City Hall at 952-471-8878. The City pays to dispose of leaves and there has been increased dumping of them in our City over the last few years.

Brush is picked up at homes by Public Works spring through fall and should be 1" to 6" in diameter. Anything smaller than that is considered yard waste, and can be disposed of using the Republic Services Yard Waste Cart Program. Call 763-972-3335 for more information or to subscribe.
